    Text OBITUARY: CHARLES ALLEN JACOBS
    Charles Allen Jacobs, 62, of Waynesburg, RD 3, died at 6:45 a.m.,
    Saturday, Jan. 20, 1962, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had not
    been well for the past three or four years and was in serious condition
    for 48 hours before his death.
    He was born Oct. 3, 1899, in Franklin Township, the son of William
    R. and Florence Scott Jacobs, both deceased.
    He is survived by his wife, Helen Glennen Jacobs, whom he married
    March 23, 1921; four sons, Charles Walter Jacobs, stationed at Loring Air
    Force Base, Maine; John William Jacobs, of Greensburg, but now with the
    Army Reserves at Fort Bragg; Robert Lee Jacobs of Waynesburg RD 2 and
    nine grandchildren.
    Also surviving are two brothers, Dr. Donald R. Jacobs, of
    Waynesburg, and Ralph Jacobs of Franklin Township and a sister, Mrs. Gail
    Hughes of Waynesburg.
    The deceased was a member of the Coallick Methodist Church, East
    Franklin Grange, Moose Lodge, and was in his 40th year as a field man for
    the Equitable Gas Company.
