arold E. Seckman Sr.
Harold E. Seckman Sr., 83, of Charleston died Feb. 9, 2004, at home after a long illness.
He was born March 10, 1920, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late William C. and Freda Milestead Seckman. His wife, Betty Jane Seckman, also preceded him in death .
Harold was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Division in Africa and Italy. He was a retired mail handler at Charleston main Post Office.
Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Diana and David Haynes of Charleston; sons, Harold E. ?Bud? Seckman Jr. and Dennis A. Seckman, both of Charleston; grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer and David; and brother, William Seckman of Charleston.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston. Entombment will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park Lower Mausoleum, Big Chimney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lens Creek Wesleyan Church, c/o Buddy Hicks, Treasurer, 617 Rambling Hills, Elkview, WV 25071.
